Google takes on Facebook and Twitter with Google Buzz
Google has released the details and began advertising its social network known as Buzz. Social Network wars are brewing; this was an anticipated move by Google to get involved in the hugely growing medium.
Buzz is integrated directly with Google’s e-mail service Gmail. Buzz network will enable its users to:
- post status updates
- make posts
- share content
- read and comment on friends’ posts.
- high usability on mobile devices
Buzz is going to pitch Google directly against social networks such as Facebook, which is pitched to top 400 million users in 2010. Google is well placed to take a huge chunk of the user base, Buzz will integrate seamlessly with the huge number of regular Gmail users, which is currently approximately 170 million people.
