So often we try to create our identity with what we have, with our possessions and our position, yet our identity is actually created by our behavior, by what we do and more importantly by how we do what we do. What really matters is not what you have got or the position that you hold, but who you are and how you behave.
We have all defined success by the jobs we hold, the money we make, most importantly the things we own have defined us at some point in our lives. I am still chasing the dream but in a different way.
All our lives we have been told that we must work toward something. Whether it be good grades, a career, our goal has always been to make it happen and growing up, we have been groomed to chase the dream. Let’s be honest! Nobody’s mother ever told them, “Honey I want you to waste away your life watching the grass grow.”
Always remember that no matter how many times people put you down, no matter how hard they kick you, scream at you, point the finger at you and call you a loser, no matter how many times you get knocked down, always make sure you get back up. There is no better respect than self-respect; they can’t take that away. You are the one in charge of your own destiny; no one else. They are but an obstacle for better things to come. Keep moving forward and you will get there. Just believe in yourself for 1 darn minute and say, “I can do this, I… can… do… this.” Scream these words loud to yourself, then see and feel the difference.Author Unknown

A man found a cocoon of an emperor moth. He took it home so that he could watch the moth come out of the cocoon. On the day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the moth for several hours as the moth struggled to force the body through that little hole.
Right now I am puzzled about my life. I feel I am reaching a very important stage of my life and am looking inside myself to understand what is going on! Though I can’t find the unique answer, I see many probable reasons and am feeling confused. Where will I end up? I have to work on each one of them and come up with proper solutions, but I have come to one conclusion: until I fix those problems, some new ones will pop up. This will go on endlessly but you have to keep your balance and outwit them. They are meant to pass by, so why we have to keep ourselves haunted by their presence?
I know a lot of people feel really uncomfortable when people stare at them, but it doesn’t bother me so much. I guess I assume people are just friendly and curious. Personally, I’m always curious about the people around and I know I would stare at others more if it wasn’t “against the rules”.
In Asia, it’s not culturally impolite to stare and as a white person, people really do tend to stare at you. I know that a lot of travelers find it very offensive, but in Nepal, I learnt that the best thing to do was to stare back at the person staring at you. The results were amazing.

Was having a chat with a friend the other day and when they asked me how I liked running my own business – I spouted out all the great things about doing what I do. Then I walked away and realised I had probably painted an undue rosey picture about the whole thing. Running your own business has its advantages and its disadvantages.
Don’t be afraid to fail. Get out there and experiment and learn and fail and get a rate based on the experiences you have. Go for it and when you go for it you’ll learn what you’re capable of, what the potential is, where the opportunities are, but you can’t be afraid to fail because that’s when you learn.
